What are the official dates?

The main conference will take place from July 1- 3. On July 4 there will be Cultural and Historical excursions.


What will be the starting/closing time of the Conference programme?

The conference will start at 8.30am and the last session will be at 18.00pm.


Where will the conference be held?

At the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, 2 Charoen Krung Road Soi 30 (Captain Bush Lane), Siphya, Bangrak Bangkok, Thailand 


Which airports does Bangkok have?
The main airport is Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK). The second airport is Don Mueang International Airport (DMK).  


How can I get to my hotel/to the city?

I need to book my flights. When does the last conference panel/event end?
The last session ends on Wednesday, July 3 at 17.30.



What the is official hotel for AAS-in-Asia Conference?
The Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers will serve as  the main venue for the conference. This is the only location for the official AAS-in-Asia programme and events.

What are the hotel rates?
The AAS has negotiated discount rates at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers for all conference attendees and 3 other hotels. Please visit the following page: ACCOMMODATION.

How do I secure a hotel reservation for the Conference?
Visit the Accommodation Page for a link to the hotel reservations site, or call the hotels directly.  

Will all activities take place at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel?
Yes. All official panel sessions, keynote addresses, Exhibition, and Welcome Reception will take place at the hotel.



What are the registration fees for the 2019 conference?
Registration fees range depending on your status and the date of registration. See the Registration Page for more information.

What is the online registration cut-off date?
The Early Bird Rate will be available until March 31 2019. The Standard Rate will be available online through June 30, 2019.  After June 30, 2019, online registration will close and registration is only available on-site in Bangkok.

When does on-site registration open?
Sunday June 30, 2019 at 12:00pm on 1st floor of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel.

How do I register?
You must first either Log in to your account or Create an account. Once logged in, click on REGISTER NOW; the registration application will display the appropriate pre-registration conference rate.

I am a member of AAS, do I get discount?
No, the AAS-in-Asia does not have special rates for AAS Members.

I am not a member of AAS; can I still register for the AAS-in-Asia Conference?
Yes, we welcome all individuals interested in the AAS-in-Asia Conference to register and attend the conference.

I am a student, do I get discount?
Yes, please go to the registration website to see the rates. You will need to show your official ID when you collect your badge on-site.

I am a panelist who didn't get to register until after May 17 2019. Can you still include my name in the printed Conference Program?

No, unfortunately not, because the layout, editing and printing of the printed Conference Program takes weeks of preparation. Therefore we must adhere to the posted deadlines in order to produce the program in a timely manner. However, if you register after the May 17 2019 deadline, all participants names will appear in the online program.

I have not received my badge or the Conference Program in the mail. What should I do?
The AAS-in-Asia does not mail conference badges prior to the conference start date. Conference badges and programs will be distributed on-site at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel.

What is the deadline in order to get a refund?

You must send a refund request in writing before April 30, 2019. After this deadline, there are no refunds.


I have registered after April 30, 2019 can I get a refund?
No, all cancellations have to be received before April 30, 2019. All cancellations are subject to a USD $ 30 retention fee before being refunded to the registered delegate. All cancellations will be processed within 30 days after the conference has ended.  The refund will transfer back to the account as the fund has been received.


Is there a registration cancellation penalty?
Yes, all refunds will be assessed a cancellation processing fee of $30.

I need to cancel my registration. How do I request a refund?
All registration cancellations must be sent in writing to the AAS-in-Asia: You must send a refund request in writing before April 30, 2019. After this deadline, there are no refunds.


I am unable to attend; can I transfer my registration to my colleague?

When was the deadline for submitting a proposal?
The Call for Papers closed on October 31, 2018.
